HOTEL DESCRIPTION & LOCATION

The Palace. With 250 guest rooms, The Palace at One&Only Royal Mirage sits on a private beach offering rich leisure facilities. Temperature-controlled swimming pools, water-sports center, tennis courts, golf putting green, children’s care center and most importantly, a tranquil haven for rest and relaxation. With four restaurants, The Palace offers an array of dining venues, and the Royal Ballroom caters for up to 350 guests and three meeting rooms offer a complete business solution.

One&Only Royal Mirage overlooks the Palm Island Bay with a kilometre of private coastline in sixty acres of landscaped gardens, water fountains and meandering pathways. It is 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport and opposite the prestigious Emirates Golf Club; and 20 minutes from the City Centre, the Gold and Spice Souks and the desert.

The resort has views of The Palm Island Jumeirah, Dubai, recognised as one of the world's most impressive developments and advertised as 'being visible from the Moon.' This man-made palm-shaped structure displays 17 huge fronds framed by a 12-kilometre (7.5 miles) protective barrier. When finished, The Palm will sport 2,000 villas, 40 luxury hotels, shopping centres, cinemas, and other facilities. The project, slated to be completed in late 2007, has traffic movement to and from the island most of the day. With many impressive developments, Dubai boasts one of the highest increases in tourism in the world, now evolving to become a 'City beach' environment, where leisure is also enjoyed with shopping, excursions, golf and sailing.

RESTAURANTS AND BARS

Olives
Olives is The Palace’s casual all-day dining restaurant. Its sky-blue ceiling adds a sense of drama to its refreshing venue, with African slate floors, towering shrubbery and whitewashed stucco walls. Stained glass, wrought iron chandeliers, and colourful crockery add vibrancy. Marble-topped tables and cane chairs give the bougainvillea-covered terrace overlooking the
palm-shaded pool a Riviera coastal cafe feel. The chef invites guests to experience the culinary delicacies of Italy, Spain, Greece and France. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Tagine
Truly Moroccan, the ambiance of Tagine provides diners with more than just a taste of this mysterious land. The tobacco-coloured walls have been hand polished and wax plastered in the Moroccan tradition of Tadlekt. Lanterns, rugs and artefacts have been specially procured from around the region and adorn the restaurant’s series of moody rooms, arches and alcoves, creating an ambience akin to an old home in Marrakesh. Open for dinner only.

Celebrities
A grand staircase leads into Celebrities, The Palace’s speciality restaurant for international cuisine with a Middle Eastern twist. A wall fountain trickles over hand-painted tiles creating an elegant atmosphere. This is further enhanced by romantic lighting and a multi-level interior that overlooks lushly landscaped gardens. The interior colours echo those of the manicured lawns and foliage and varied hues of the sea. A truly romantic dining venue for special occasions. Open for dinner only.

Beach Bar & Grill
Overlooking Palm Island, and poised between lush gardens and golden sand, the Beach Bar & Grill is a refreshing experience. Affectionately called “The Beach” by resort staff, the mood by day is informal on the shaded terrace where guests enjoy impressive platters of freshly grilled seafood and bright salads. By night, “The Beach” dresses up with flickering candles and a warm glow as chefs serve lobster, tiger prawns, mixed kabobs and prime steaks.

Four Hands Massage
Conceived like a true concerto, four hands move harmoniously on the body in perfect synchronisation. All muscles relax simultaneously and the spirit awakens to the subtle fragrances of Ylang-Ylang extract.

Aromatherapy and Essential Oil Massage
The ancient art of aromatherapy is beneficial to the senses as well as the body through healing, beauty-enhancing and soothing properties of essential oils. The specific benefits of this massage rely on the careful selection of aromatherapy oils by an expert therapist.

The Canyon Love Stone Therapy
The smooth, pure and warm surfaces of stones glide effortlessly over the body. Gentle, deep movements create a feeling of total relaxation and well being. This massage rebalances energies, detoxifies tissues, and with the attention of cold stones, relieves muscle tension. The combination of these beneficial stones collected in rivers of the American West with draining oil especially created by Givenchy provide an extremely sublime and memorable treatment.

Givenchy Facials
All five Givenchy facials have been specifically formulated to maximise the effectiveness of the treatment. The use of bio-phyto complex ensures that the skin is protected from future damage and the signs of aging are greatly reduced.

Preparatory Treatment: Deep Cleansing Facial
Suitable for all skin types, this facial uses Swisscare for Givenchy products that gently exfoliate and cleanse surface skin cells. The skin is warmed, steamed,
and nourished.

Relaxing Facial
Beginning with a cleansing and misting, this facial is followed by a gentle massage of face, neck and shoulders. A deeply hydrating mask in applied, leaving features relaxed and skin supple and re-hydrated.

Givenchy Body Treats
With the use of Swisscare for Givenchy body products, each treatment delivers the ultimate combination of sensations designed exclusively by Givenchy to smooth, regenerate and re-hydrate the body – whether bathing in essential oils or being scrubbed with soft bristle brushes.

Exclusively Givenchy
The signature Givenchy treatment, this is the ultimate combination of body therapies beautifully combined to soothe and regenerate.
