MUNTAHA - SKYVIEW RESTAURANT Reached by an express flight in a scenic lift, the restaurant has a sophisticated space-age design with polished chrome fittings, tempered by use of soft blue and green tones and wave-like designs, as well as panoramic windows to the world. With seating for around 140 guests, the restaurant offers delicious Mediterranean cuisine as well as pre and post-dinner drinks - the place to be seen in Dubai. AL MAHARA - SEAFOOD RESTAURANT At the opposite end of the tower's spectrum of delights is Al Mahara, a seafood paradise that dives deep into the Arabian Gulf to delight its guests. A meal at the restaurant is a unique experience. Starting from arrival, via a three-minute submarine voyage from the hotel lobby which passes through a marine wonderland, ending up at the entrance to Al Mahara. At their tables, diners are surrounded by the varied sea-life of the Gulf, just a few metres away beyond the restaurant's glass walls. The sight of darting fish and waving fronds is complemented by the warm, coral-inspired carpets, while the cuisine, of course, consists of the most succulent selection of seafood. In addition, there are three exclusive dining rooms - The Addura, Shazra, and Yara rooms, named for the coral, oysters and beautiful pearls indigenous to the region. AL IWAN - SEAVIEW RESTAURANT At the heart of the Burj Al Arab, adjacent to the main lobby, is Al Iwan, an Oasis dedicated to feeding the senses in every respect, offering guests a taste of the finest Arabian hospitality throughout the day. With its decor of dramatic gold, red and black, the inerior of the 140-seat restaurant is reminiscent of a royal meeting place in bygone days, with objets d'art displayed around the walls and the glow of traditional lamps adding to the restaurant's warm ambience - ideal for a relaxed rendezvous. JUNA - EYE OF THE SUN A small and intimate lounge, Juna is tucked away on the mezzanine floor of Burj Al Arab. A perfect place to watch the setting sun, or simply to watch the world go by, Juna offers an impressive range of the world's finest Havana cigars. SAHN EDDAR - ATRIUM LOUNGE A perfect meeting area befitting the splendour of Burj Al Arab, Sahn Eddar is located at the base of the world's tallest atrium. Warm and welcoming tones, mosaic and marble flooring and torch lighting provide the perfect backdrop for guests wishing to linger over morning coffee or afternoon tea while watching the 32 metre water column leap skyward towards the peak of the atrium. AL FALAK - BALL ROOM AND CONFERENCE SUITES For the more formal occasion, the dazzling splendour of Al Falak ballroom is unmatched in its fusion of the elements. Set high over the Arabian Gulf, with the benefit of an outdoor terrace to enjoy the balmy winter nights, the sumptuous decor provides an unforgettable venue with its atmospheric verandah level, marble pillars encompassing a central gold dome, highlighted by its jewel in the crown - a dazzling crystal chandelier. Complementing the ballroom are a series of conference suites containing the ultimate in sophisticated gadgetry - Suheil, Suha, Athuraya, named after the stars - plus two superlative majlis rooms, the Tameen and Al- Areeka. BAB AL YAM - THE SEA'S DOOR From the seclusion of their suites, guests can also venture out to the Bab Al Yam, a cafe restaurant which provides informal dining with attractive sea views. Located adjacent to the private swimming pool and sun- deck at the base of the Burj Al Arab, the complex offers a relaxing, tranquil atmosphere, a world away from the frenetic pace of the 21st century. |
