1. Ao Nang
Distance from the hotel: 17 km. Traveling time by car: 25 min. by long tail boat: 35 min.
A group of 83 islands lie within AO Nang Bay, many of which are accessible by a quick long tail boat ride. From the town of AO Nang, you can enjoy tremendous views of surrounding islands, including Ko Poda, while relaxing on the long stretch of beautiful beach that runs the length of town. Boats for Rai lay Beach and Phra Nang may easily be arranged from the hotel.

2. Susaan Hoi
Distance from The Hotel: 17 km. Traveling time (by car/boat): 20 min.
A short drive from the hotel, Susaan Hoi, or Shell Fossil Beach, is the sight of a remarkable geological formation, a 75 million year-old "shell cemetery". Successive layering of shells over millions of years created "Shelly limestone", over 40 cm. thick. Scientifically verified, this product of the Tertiary Age exists in only two other places in the world.

3. Koh Poda
Distance from the Hotel: 20 km. Traveling time (by boat): 30 min.
Lying just off the coast of AO Nang, KO Poda's fine white sands and warm waters make it the perfect place to spend the day. Snorkel, scuba or suntan on this beautiful gem of the Andaman Enjoy the 30 minute trip across the water courtesy of the hotel's shuttle boat. Transportation can be arranged through the hotel's Tour Information.

4. Railay and Phra Nang Beaches
Distance form the hotel: 35 km. Traveling time(by boat): 30 min.
*Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Railay beach is just a short boat ride from the Krabi Meritime. At the end of the beach, explore the dramatic limestone formations of the Phra Nang caves which have drawn rock-climbers from around the world. It's one of Krabi's most special places.

*Combine visits to Ao Nang, Susaan Hoi, Hat Nopparat Thara. Koh Poda and Railay beach on an enioyable full day tour by boat direct from the hotel. Or. do the same trip by car (excluding Koh Poda and Railay) in just 3 hours.

5. Koh Phi Phi Don and KO Phi Phi Lay
Distance from the hotel: 40 km. Traveling time (by boat): 2 hours.
One of the most beautiful island groups in the world, the Phi Phi Island group actually consists of six islands Lying 43 km. from the coast of Krabi. The two largest, Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Lay offer spectacular snorkeling, scuba and canoeing in protected coves amidst beautifully preserved coral beds.

Both islands harbor secluded white, sandy beaches as well as abundant bird, animal and sea life. You can hike the 1.2 km. nature trail on Phi Phi Don for a stunning view of the island and surrounding ocean or take a long-tail boat around Phi Phi Lay and view the famous Swiftlet bird nest caves, where villagers perch on precarious bamboo scaffolds to collect the nests, highly prized in Chinese cuisine. The Phi Phi islands may be reached easily from the Jao Fah Pier in town or AO Nang Beach.

6. Mangrove Forest (Sea Canoe or Long tail boat cruising)

Right behind the Krabi Meritime Hotel lies one of Krabi's richest natural wonders: kilometers of pristine Mangrove Forest, home to an astonishing variety of birds which have drawn birdwatchers from all over all world. Cruising in a long tail boat or sea canoe, keep your eyes open for species such as Gurney's Pitta, Brown-winged Kingfisher, Flamebacks, Pacific Reef Eagle and Dollarbirds.

7. Khao Kanab Nam
Distance from the hotel: behind hotel Traveling time (by boat): 5 min.
Regarded as the symbol of Krabi, these two limestone karsts rise up over 100 meters from the water and contain caves complete with stalactites and stalagmites. Located directly behind the hotel, Khao Kanab Nam is easily reached by boat.

*Visit both the Mangrove Forest and Khao Kanab Nam on a combined 1 hour outing for spectacular bird watching and exploration of the Krabi River either by the long tail boat or canoe.

8. Wat Tham Sua Meditation Center
Distance from the hotel: 5 km. Traveling time: 10 min.
Just 9 km. from Krabi town "Tiger Cave" temple is a must-see on your exploration of Krabi. Set dramatically against the AO Luk Tanu Mountain Range, the dense forest shelters dramatic caves and Krabi's largest temple. There's much to see and do here, including climbing the 300 steps to see the Buddha's footprint and exploring the trails and caves that wind through the forest floor.

9. Huoy Toe Waterfall
Distance from the hotel: 25 km. Traveling time: 30 min.
Located in the Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, this waterfall is just a short trip from the hotel. The waterfall has 11 levels, each of which contains a natural pool of clear water at least 4 or 5 meters wide the lush surrounding jungle makes the setting even more beautiful.

10. Khao Phanom Bencha National Park
Distance from the hotel: 60 km. Traveling time: 1 1/2 hours
The entrance to this magnificent national park lies 20 km. outside of Krabi town and contains many interesting sites, including the Huoy Toe, Huoy Saday and Ton Hahn waterfalls, the Tahm Khao Ping Cave with many fascinating stalactites and stalagmites, as well as miles of lush forest and rugged hills. Khao Phanom Bencha is also one of Krabi's most important wildlife refuges and is home to more than 156 species of birds and 32 species of mammals. Two hiking trails penetrate into the heart of the park but involve steep climbs. If you're up to it however, the hike is well worth the trip.

11. Thung Tieo Nature Trail
Distance from the hotel: 60 km. Traveling time: I 1/2 hours
Located 16 km from the town of Klong Tom in southern Krabi, this natural trail was established to help conserve the area's last remnant of true lowland forest in southern Thailand. The trail itself is just 2.7 km long and traverses mostly level ground through the forest. It's an excellent opportunity to observe the many species of bird, plant and animal life which inhabit the park. At the end of the trail lies a clear water pool, perfect for a quick swim at the end of your walk.

12. Nam Tok Ron (Hot Spring)
Distance from the hotel: 60 km Traveling time: I 1/2 hrs.
There's nothing quite so spectacular as relaxing in a shady natural hot-spring, surrounded by the towering rainforest. You can enjoy this unique experience at the Nam Tok Ron in the Tambon Klong Tom Nua, 12 km. from the District Headquarters.

13. Than Bokharani National Park
Distance from the hote}: 45 km Traveling time :30 min.
Located in Ao Luk, 1/2 hour from the hotel, is Than Bokharani National Park. Shady trails wind through the park's magnificent forest. Walk through the park to the cave at the river's source and enjoy a cool dip ill the crystal-clear small lake in front of the cave. It is said that if you swim once in the waters here, you will always return.

14. AO Luk
Distance from the hotel: 45 km Traveling time: 30 min.
AO Luk is also famous for a number of other beautiful natural sites, including the spectacular Diamond, I Hua Kalok (famous for it's ancient cave paintings) and Tham Lod caves. All three cave are close together and can be seen using a long tail boat from Than Bokharani, including a breathtaking sail through Tham l.od to view stalactites and stalagmites.

15. Tahm Pee Hua Toe or Tahm Hua Galok
Distance from the hotel: 47 km Traveling time: 40 Min.
Is a large cave with many grottos, situated on a hill in the middle of the water, surrounded by mangroves. Formerly, a human skull of larger than ordinary size was found in the cave from which became the name "Pee Hua Toe". or "Big-headed ghost", aside from this, there are prehistoric drawings on the cave walls in large numbers of people, animals, and various organs. There are also vast numbers of shells in the sedimentary rock. To get there, take a boat from Bor Tor Pier, the same place you would leave from to get to Tahm Lod Nua Tai.

16. Mu Koh Hong
Distance from the hotel: S0 km Traveling time: 2 hours.
There are both large and small islands. The main ones are: Laga or Saga Island, Lao Riem Island, and Lao Lading Island. These islands have great hollows inside them. Koh Hong is the largest island. It is the rocky island with coral formations in both shallow and deep water, they are great for diving, fishing and boating. Boats can be chartered for the journey at AO Nang. Travel time is about 1 hour.

17. Ao Talane
Distance from the hotel: 20 km Traveling time: 20 minutes.
Canoeing at Ao Talane is the one of the most enjoyable trip in Krabi. Exploring the sea cave, natural lagoons mangrove forest and the many caved before going along the tidal forest to observe many species animals. Also go sightseeing by the canoe through the majestic cliffs and the tranquil nature along lllc gorge that leads into the mountains.
