Marinduque is the near-circular island between South Luzon and Mindoro. The Marinduquero are Tagalog and most of them come from Batangas and Quezon provinces.
Coconuts and rice are the main agridultural products. The main tourist attraction is the Moriones Festival at Easter, which is great fun and which everyone joins in with good humour (see the Fiestas & Festivals section of the Facts about the Country chapter). This is when Marinduque gets most of its tourists.
