Catering to the endless leisure and recreational needs of our guests, attention to details include provision of a wide and exciting range of facilities including three freeform swimming pools, Jacuzzi, a gymnasium, squash and tennis courts, the Borneo Spa, a children’s club and playground, a 75-acre nature park as well as water-sports, sea and river activities at the resort’s Lagoon Park.

Not forgotten, our younger guests are also kept in the fray of activity with The Nexie Club, open daily for children between the ages of 4 to 11 years, with activities that include colouring contests, story-telling, origami, art lessons and lots more.

Sports and Recreation Centre

The Sports and Recreation Centre coordinates all leisure and recreational activities, from indoor to outdoor and from land to sea.  Located along the resort’s shopping arcade, the spacious Centre also features several high-speed internet computer stations, game machines, pool tables, mahjong, carrom and touch football games.

Lagoon Park
Nestled on the spectacular edge of the Karambunai Peninsula and only moments away from the resort, the Lagoon Park is a water sport enthusiast’s dream come true.   It is the ideal place for everything from water skiing and jet skiing, kayaking and windsurfing, to river cruises and sport fishing.  The extensive range of equipment and facilities available is enhanced by the friendly and knowledgeable Lagoon Park team. The resort offers complimentary hourly, return shuttle service to the Lagoon Park.

Borneo Spa

The Borneo Spa inspires relaxation, rejuvenation and a harmonious equilibrium of body, mind and spirit through holistic treatments drawn from age-old traditions of natural healing from both the East and West.

Evoking the spirit of Borneo, the Borneo Spa features its own private label blends of pure essential oils in aromatherapy massages, facials and signature treatments.  Fourteen therapy rooms, including 2 double rooms for couples who want to enjoy a massage together, each with its own private shower, a health bar, separate male and female Jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath facilities within 9633 square feet (895 sq meters), offer a wondrous respite from the outside world.  Rustic cabanas on the resort’s beach front offer an alternative alfresco massage environment, adding the element of the sea to your massage experience.

Karambunai Resorts Golf Club

Undulating across a series of small lakes, waterways and hillocks, amidst a panoramic expanse of natural and landscaped surroundings, the Nexus Golf Resort Karambunai captivates golfers with breathtaking views of Karambunai Beach, the South China Sea and Mount Kinabalu. Set against the backdrop of a 130-million year old tropical rainforest along its eastern edges, the par 72, 18-hole international championship golf course was designed by renowned golfing architect Ronald Fream.

Nexus Golf Resort Karambunai is a full buggy course and has a clubhouse that features practice putting and chipping greens, a driving range, Golfers Lounge, Cocktail Lounge, pro shop, several conference rooms and well-appointed changing/locker rooms.  Rental of golf sets and golf shoes are also available.

Swimming Pools and Outdoor Jacuzzi

Three large meandering, free-form swimming pools of various depths for adults and children and an outdoor Jacuzzi create a big splash with the guests.  Sun loungers and umbrellas dot the poolside, a favourite location for sun-seekers.  The nearby Splashes Pool Bar is kept constantly busy with drinks and snacks orders from all around the pools.

Gymnasium

The gymnasium houses a comprehensive array of fitness and health equipment and also caters for personal one-on-one training sessions.

The 18-hole championship course was designed with an emphasis on a variety of playing experiences. The guests will find a classic and strategic style of golf. While each hole will offer the golfer a number of options that depend upon his or her skilled level, challenging the strategy of the golf holes will be path to a good score.

Nature Park

The 75-acre Nature Park provides visitors with an opportunity to experience nature within the splendour of a million-year-old rainforest.  Guided jungle treks to the top reveal a vantage viewpoint of the stunning Karambunai peninsula with a few flora and fauna discoveries en route.

Nexie Club

Creating daily fun and interest for the resort’s younger guests, aged between 4 and 11 years old, Nexie Club offers a delightful range of activities to keep them entertained.

Tennis Courts

Outdoor tennis courts provide ample opportunities for racquet recreation, complimented by night lighting, which allows for play well into the evening.

Squash Court

Located next to the gymnasium, the squash court opens daily from 7.00am to 9.00pm with equipment rental provided.
