Karon Beach
Karon Beach Just across a low hill to the north of Kata, the long white beach of Karon stretches magnificently with pines and palms standing tall over the rolling san dunes providing a unique scene. It is flourishing side by side with Kata Beach, but is more placid. The sea water here is clean and the sand is powdery. It is one of the best places for swimming, diving and sun-bathing. You can come from Kata to Karon easily by road or by a path along the coast.

Kata Beach

The crescent shape of Kata Beach provides this classic stretch of soft white sand and crystal water with good shelter, making it one of the calmest beaches facing the Andaman Sea.

Composed of 2 lovely beaches called Kata Yai (Big Kata) and Kata Noi (Small Kata), Kata Beach is a thriving resort , suitable for holiday makers who look for tranquil surroundings with a bright sun, while sand, a calm clear sea and a colourful underwater world.

With its small offshore island and the green hills at its back, Kata is a postcard perfect image of a tropical escape. Kata Noi, to the south, is enhanced by steep, green mountains that rise right behind. There are no highrise buildings near these beaches, which, viewed from a boat offshore, have a verdant appearance.
