LOCATION
Pejeng is about 10 minutes drive from the centre of Ubud and roughly an hour from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Surrounded by lush rice terraces and scattered hamlets Pejeng has been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years.
It's home to Bali's oldest artefact; the 2300 year old, 'Moon of Pejeng', the largest one-piece drum in the world from Bali's Bronze-Age. Ten minutes east is the magnificent temple of Gunung Kawi with 10 statues in alcoves, carved out of the cliff face.
Surrounding Pejeng is some of the most beautiful countryside in Bali. Lush rice terraces border winding lanes which are perfect for walking or cycling.
