Colombo
Situated 40 Km, from the International Airport, Colombo is the largest city and former administrative capital of Sri Lanka. It is located on the west coast of the Island and adjacent Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, the present administrative capital of Sri lanka. Colombo is a busy and vibrant city with mixture of modern life with sy scrapers and five star hotels and long lasting colonial buildings. A drive through the city will take you to Colombo's most fashionable residential district - The Cinnamon Gardens and Pettah, Colombo's busiest and most traditional bazaar area. Don't forget to visit the Hindu Kovil with elaborate stone carvings, the Dutch Church at Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the historic Devatgahaha Mosque and the Gangarama Buddhist Temple. Colombo has been a flourishing port city for centuries & today the bustle of the harbour mingles with the activity of its busy commercial, banking and shopping areas.
