Direction

By Road from Puerto Princesa City to Port Barton.
Using public transport located at New San Jose Bus Terminal in Puerto Princesa City, the local jeepney will take around 4 – 5 hours. The jeepney leaves at 8:00-9:00 in the morning every day. A stop-over for meals or snacks and a break to stretch your legs and comfort before to continue your destination onto Port Barton. Public sharing van leaves at 8:30am and 1:30pm (time schedule subject to change without prior notice to the public). Port Barton is situated 166 kilometres Northwest of Puerto Princesa City. Upon arrival in Port Barton you may register in the Port Barton Tourism assistance Center.
Travelling can be achieved by use of private transport and takes about two and half hours (2 1/2 hours) by main road then about thirty minutes cross country through the mountains and jungle.

From Puerto Princesa - San Vicente- Port Barton
You may also travel from Puerto Princesa City onto San Vicente via public shuttle air-conditioned van or bus as public shuttle van leaves between 8:00am, 10:00am, and 12:00 noon everyday and the public bus leaves at 1:00pm however, when it full the vans and buses leaves early regardless the time schedule. It takes 3 1/2 hours for private van, 4 hours public shuttle, and 5-6 hours for public jeepney. From San Vicente bound to Port Barton it takes 45 minutes to 1 hour if the weather permitted. The public boat may achieve from San Vicente onto Port Barton every day, 9:00am - 10:00am from port Barton and 2:00pm-3:00pm leaves in San Vicente onto Port Barton. Please note, in some circumstances that the public boat from Port Barton onto San Vicente town or vice versa may not travel due to the less numbers of passengers and bad weather.

By Pump Boat from Puerto Princesa City - Sabang (Underground River) - Port Barton
Public jeepney/ public shuttle van/ bus to Sabang leaves from 6am to 9am everyday from New Public Market, San Jose in Puerto Princesa City. These times are estimates only as public transport leaves when full (get there early), travel time approximately 2 1/2 hours. Once in Sabang the pickup location for the boat is at Sabang Wharf/Pier.
One of the New Nature Wonder of the World "Underground River", this natural wonder features an 8.2. kilometer navigable underground river, reputed to be the world's longest that wind through a spectacular cave before emptying out in the South China Sea. This river flows within a deep cavern under rugged limestone and marble cliffs, special features of the park. Known as one of the world's wonders, this river stretches eight kilometers deep into an underground lagoon with crystalline waters. Within the hallowed recesses, one winds through the tunnel aboard a paddle boat with outriggers to be enthralled at every turn, which reveals stalactite pillars, rock formations, and domed amphitheaters. The park is located in Bahile, Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Located 81 kilometers from the city proper, the place can be reached through Barangay Cabuyagan to Sabang, from where one could take a pump boat ride to the Underground River, or hike through a monkey trail - an alternative way to reach the river.
After the Underground River Tour you will transfer onto Port Barton if the weather permitted. We suggest leaving in Sabang the latest is 12am as sometimes the weather might change.

By boat from El Nido to Port Barton
Public Transfer by road: Take public transport from El Nido going to Puerto Princesa. Ask to drop off in Roxas. There is only one jeepney leaving in Roxas at 12noon travelling onto Port Barton. Sharing van from El Nido to Port Barton is also optional; please ask in the Tourism Office either El Nido or Port Barton or the hotel you will stay.
Public Transfer by Sea: There is no daily service. Visit El Nido tourism office for schedule of public boat going to Port Barton or Sabang. Also visit Judith's at El Nido Boutique and Art Shop", you can often share a private boat by advertising there.
If your boat from El Nido is travelling to sabang ask the boatman to drop you off in Ausan Beach Front Cottages next to the Coast Guard Office.

Port Barton has 1,500 meters clean and fine sand white beach with crystal water, surrounded by coconut trees, is found in the Northwest part in Palawan, bordering South China Sea. Port Barton is protected Bay with panoramic view of various islands and islets in the front and mountains covered with virgin forest in the background. Relax the peaceful place for all types of water sports activities, jungle trekking to waterfalls or wild watching at the mangrove river. Port Barton is the jump -off point to the many white sand islands surrounding San Vicente. In the middlemost portion of the beach, there are various beach cottages/resort with rooms for rent and restaurants. Some also offer diving courses, and internet cafe. Port Barton is the main transport hub of the municipality servicing boats, buses and jeepneys from Sabang, One of the Nature Wonders of the World Underground river and Puerto Princesa City in the south and El Nido in the North.

On the western coast of Northern Palawan lies the municipality of San Vicente, bounded by the South China Sea on the West, Taytay on the north, Roxas on the East and Puerto Princesa City in the Southwest. San Vicente is most remembered for its dense forests, picturesque bays and coves. San Vicente was once a small fishing village under the jurisdiction of Puerto Princesa then declared a municipality in 1969. It is the only municipality in Palawan where 92% of the total area is covered with vast forest. The forest hosts a variety of species of birds, mammals and reptiles. The clear waters of San Vicente are equally rich with hundreds of species of fish and corals. Although still a very much a fish and farming community, San Vicente is fast becoming a tourist destination that can offer the first and most popular tourism destination to be developed in San Vicente is Port Barton. Named after Colonel Barton, an Englishman who surveyed the islands in the 1940's, it was, at that time, the heart of logging community. in addition to the two main beach areas - White beach and Pamoayan beach - Port Barton's other main attractions include the Port Barton marine Park with its 12 islands ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling and a number of dive sites. Boat trips to the islands are available.

Other attractions in the area include Pamoayan Falls, a three and a half kilometer hike through a dense forest. View different species of plants and animals along the way. Pamoayan Falls drops 15-17 meters into a natural pond surrounded by palm trees. Various species of butterflies and dragonflies can be seen within the falls vicinity. Begaho Falls is 15 minutes walk from the Begaho Beach.

Mangroove Rivers are mangrove reserve areas in Port Barton and are accessible by small boat. Monkeys, monitor lizards, mangrove snakes and birds are common sightings in the area.

Located in Barangay New Agutaya, Little Baguio Falls is different from the others in the Barangay as the water shimmers as it gently rolls down layers of rocks. The surrounding dense foliage lends a mystical feel to the place and and the 14km white sand "Long Beach" is a must see when visiting San Vicente.
