| 3/5 | Mr. TK, Thailand Apr 2013 | | Hotel should improve hotel room and lighting. Also toilet and bath should improve for twofold can stay together in same room. Should have more choice of bread or breakfast. Location is good and easy to get into the Chawedagong. | | RATING DETAILS | RECOMMENDATION | | Value for Money 2 Service 3 Amenities 3 Rooms 3 Cleanliness 3 Location 4 | Business People, Events and Meetings, Single Ladies, Single Men, Tourists |
| 4/5 | Mr. Gruber, Australia Jan 2013 | | The hotel was clean with polite, friendly staff. Room was modern, pleasant and comfortable. Good central location. Only a short walk to train station and the Bogyoke Aung San markets and other street markets. Several smaller Pagodas and the La Pyat Wun Plaza mall are near along with cinemas, and Hitachi Tower (view city skyline but you need have a meal at the restaurant). Overall, very satisfied with my choice. | | RATING DETAILS | RECOMMENDATION | | Amenities 3 Rooms 4 Cleanliness 4 Location 4 Service 4 Value for Money 4 | Business People, Tourists |
| 4/5 | Mr. Castellino, India Oct 2012 | | Very centrally located within walking distance to Sule pagoda and Bogyoke market . Also within walking distance of many restaurants . The rooms are with good air conditioning , free wifi in the rooms and a basic breakfast from the a la carte menu . The open bathroom/toilet may be a concern for those sharing the room . Small windows , no balcony and no real view . A bit over priced for the facilities offered but then this is Yangon ! Deft worth paying the few dollars more and staying at the East as opposed to other hotels in the area . The lights illuminating the picture frames in the corridor can be disturbing . However , hotel staff were quick to turn off the lights when requested . Breakfast box is provided if taking the early flight . | | RATING DETAILS | RECOMMENDATION | | Value for Money 3 Amenities 4 Rooms 4 Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Location 5 | Single Men, Tourists |

| 4/5 | Mr. Stevens, United States Sep 2012 | | The hotel is in a very convenient location. Service was excellent and the breakfast was fine. My room,403 was rather dark and damp due to the lack of any natural lighting. It was however, very clean and well furnished. The toilet has no door, only a decorative curtain hanging down. You can be seen going about your business and definitely heard too! My friend's room 401, faced the street and had a huge window that let in light. I would stay at the East Hotel again but only if I were alone and could have a room facing the street. | | RATING DETAILS | RECOMMENDATION | | Rooms 3 Cleanliness 4 Amenities 4 Value for Money 4 Location 5 Service 5 | Business People, Single Men, Tourists | See more customer reviews for this hotel
